REGURGITATIONS

                 I was raised in a dysfunctional home.   Maybe, all of us were to some degree.   My home was filled with tension, harsh words, anger, threats, fear and physical punishment.   I felt perpetually unwelcome.   I would often lose myself in dreams of a better place.   A friendly, welcoming place where words produced laughter not pain.   To this end, I never missed a rerun of the Andy Griffith show during my childhood years.   Mayberry became my happy place.   Mayberry represented family and a better existence, a better America.   Baseball, apple pie and Chevrolet.   A cold coke on the porch as the autumn breeze brought another pleasant day to an end.   Maybe Uncle Andy would break out the guitar and we would sing a few tunes.      It's that time of year.  So get out your semi-automatic rifles, hand grenades and body armor because Jesus Wants You to enlist in the War on Christmas.  That's right, America home of the free, which includes Religious Freedom and the absence of a national religion, wants you to celebrate the Christian Christ while ignoring other religious figures.  The government and civilian employers are going to give you days off so you can celebrate the birth of Jesus (that doesn't count as an endorsement of the religion by the government... nor does the reference to God on our money... or the prayers before the high school football game.)  As you know... this is the reason for the season.  What if you are Jewish and don't believe in Jesus?  It's just a month or so of celebrating Jesus.  What's the big deal?  It's like when us, whites, tolerate Black History Month.  You will make it through just like we do.  An extra epis...

      I am tired of the all or nothing people.... they are such a large part of the problem.... these people cannot be reasoned with.... it is as if they have detached so far from reality they cannot see that which is directly in front of them.... they are a hindrance to society and it's evolution. They are the people that believe all Christians are good, all soldiers are heroes, all policemen are respectable and America is infallible. These people believe the American dream is real despite the fact they are poorly educated and mired in poverty. They believe freedom is owning a gun while married to a person they despise but don't leave. They believe America supports the soldiers while complaining about the VA healthcare system which is run and underfunded by Americans.      Isis has attacked in America.   Why?   Because they should… just as we would.   Evidently ISIS decided it is better to fight us over here… than to fight us over there.   Sound familiar?        The terrorists. Terrorists.   A frequently used term these days.   The terrorists seem easily identifiable.   But before you can identify the terrorists you must identify the land you are standing on.   You must understand a terrorist is defined according to your perspective.   This is what America fails to understand.   Terrorism is a subjective term.      From the outside looking in the Civil Rights era of 1960’s (specifically 1968) America looked like a time of mass rebellion and revolution.   Citizens were marching and rioting, our government was killing our citizens in our streets and on foreign soil and our leaders were being assassinated.   Clearly, fr...

     The news is full of stories about Muslim extremists and their violent and deadly actions.  Americans, especially Christian Americans, are quick to point to these stories as indicative of the entire Muslim religion.  It does not seem to matter these incidents are perpetrated by a mere few of the Islamic religion.  We are quick to paint all Muslims with the broad stroke of violence and terrorism.  We are quick to point out Christians would never act in such a way.  Sure maybe the Christians did participate in the crusades, killed supposed witches, and the Native Americans but that was a long time ago and these Christians were mislead (I guess by God.)  Christianity became a sophisticated and loving religion shortly thereafter.... or so we like to pretend.      The real threat to our American way of life is the modern Christian terrorists with their murder, violence, legislation, war-mongering, psychological/spiritual...

The Reverend Terry Jones and his congregation displayed their intestinal fortitude. If you believe you should burn some Quran's then burn 'em. Like most modern day Christians, Jones and his followers proved to be trash talkers. This is exactly why the Muslims are getting all the press around the world. Weak ass 21st century Christians cannot stand up to PUBLIC PRESSURE much less a heavily armed, kidney failing, inordinately tall Muslim. The Muslims, at the EXTREME end, demonstrate more dedication, focus, and commitment than their soft and indecisive Christians counterparts whose last real claim to fame was the burning of witches some four hundred years ago. Today's Christians are mere shadows of their greatest generation forefathers who killed hundreds of thousands in the Crusades.
